Type K1 KR1

Thanks to its conical design, the KSH K1 nozzles (including the KSP type) are particularly resilient under pressure. The tapering shape helps evenly distribute stress and reduces weak points, making the nozzle able to withstand both high operating pressures and pressure fluctuations more reliably. For emptying, the nozzle is fitted with a bottom disc which allows residual draining right down to the nozzle bottom—minimizing dead volume and making clean-out much more efficient. In cases where there is concern about the loss of fine filter media—especially on smaller nozzle diameters (< 65 mm)—the KR1 variant features a closed base disc that prevents media escape through the bottom while still maintaining filtration performance. Additionally, the conical base plus disc design helps ensure tighter sealing, reduces sediment buildup at the base, and supports more consistent backwash performance.
