The KSH Type PKO filter nozzle, supplied by Absorb, is a specialised development of the P type nozzle. Inside the air cushion tube, a sinking body reduces the flow during backwashing from above the nozzle base. This creates a counterpressure effect, ensuring improved and more even distribution of the regeneration agent throughout the filter bed.

In the filtration direction, the floating body automatically reopens the passage, allowing normal operation without restriction. The PKO nozzle is particularly suited for use in ion exchange systems employing the fluidized bed process, where precise flow control is essential for efficiency.
