The KSH Type DSP filter nozzle builds on the Type D design by adding an expansion dowel, enabling simple top-side installation through nozzle floors up to 45 mm thick. Like the Type D, it has cylindrically shaped slots which promote even flow distribution and help avoid clogging while maintaining horizontal spray/backwashing behaviour. When backwashing with air, use of a rubber washer of type DG50 is recommended to ensure a good seal and prevent leakage. The DSP variant is suited for media filtration applications where maintenance of a clean drainage base and minimal dead zones are priorities.
